Psychologist and Hypnotherapist - Dean Stacey
Dean has been a registered Psychologist in South Australia for 14 years. Dean has been the Psychologist at Kingston Family Clinic for 12 years. He is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), the Australian Society of Hypnotherapists, (ASH) and the South Australian Society of Hypnotherapists (SASH) and is bound by their various codes of ethics. Dean is an accredited trainer of recent Psychology graduates and has done so for 13 years. At Kingston Family Clinic my focus is on helping my patients move forward with any issue they may have using a combination of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Hypnotherapy. In February 2011 I will be an accredited assessor of children with Autism and Asperger syndrome.
What is Hypnosis? It is a naturally occurring state present in our everyday lives. Have you even looked at the television and wondered what the central character has been doing for the last 5 minutes? Have you even driven past an intersection and wondered where you are? They are both examples of naturally occurring dream-like state known as hypnosis. Most people enjoy being relaxed and moving forward in their lives.

Dean also conducts psychometric assessments of children, adolescents, and adults including assessments for specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia, exceptionality and giftedness, and intellectual disability. These are conducted in the family home as children are more comfortable there. My fee for this service is $600 all inclusive.
As from December 1 2010 my fees will be $140 for a 45-50 minute session. I also accept Mental Health Care Plans from General Practitioners, Workcover, and Insurance claims. Sometimes these Mental Health Care Plans attract a gap of $50.
