  • Dr Byron Gordon

    M.B.B.S.

    Dr Byron Gordon graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1984 and completed his internship and a further 2 years in Adelaide hospitals. He then travelled to Darwin for an additional 2 years training. Dr Gordon returned to country South Australia as a rural GP at Minlaton for 3 years and Millicent for 10 years. Along with his wife and 3 children he relocated to Adelaide in 2000. Dr Gordon's medical interests include all areas of general medicine, sports, orthopaedics, paediatrics and men's health. His outside interests include family, sport, exercise, travel camping and hiking.

  • Dr Con George

    M.B.B.S.

    Dr Con Ceorge graduated from Adelaide University in 1978 and has serviced the area for 30 years. Starting at Seacliff Medical Centre then moving to Kingston Family Clinic in 2002. Dr George enjoys all forms of general practice. Dr George is married with two adult sons and enjoys travelling, good resturants, wine and watching the Crows and West Adelaide.

  • Dr Darren Barnett

    BSc BMBS FRACGP Dip Child Hth

    Dr Darren Barnett graduated from Flinders University Medical Degree in 2000. Dr Barnett completed his internship at Flinders Medical Centre then worked at Modbury Hospital in emergency medicine and paediatrics for 3 years, also completing a diploma in Child Health. Dr Barnett has since completed the requirements to be recognised as a specialist general practioner gaining fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practice in 2006. Dr Barnett has worked at Kingston Family Clinic for 5 years with a major focus of paediatric and young family health. Dr Barnett is married with 2 children, aged 3 and 6 years. He is a committed Christian and his major hobby is golf.

  • Dr Leonie Thompson

    M.B.B.S. Dip RACOG

    Dr Leonie Thompson is a founding partner of Kingston Family Clinic. Dr Thompson has special interest in women and childrens health and in particular Shared Antenatal Care. Dr Thompson is married to Dr David Tye and has 2 children aged 21 and 19 years. Her hobbies revolve around their farm which include horses, cattle and sheep. She also enjoys 4W driving and occasional sailing.

  • Dr Margaret Huppatz

    M.B.B.S. Dip Clin Hyp

    Dr Margaret Huppatz graduated as a Registered Nurse before graduating with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Adelaide University in 1974. Dr Huppatz worked in the country for 14 years before returning to Adelaide when her children were attending high school. She has an interest in Mental Health and the treatment of anxiety and depression. Dr Huppatz has a diploma of Clinical Hypnosis. Her outside interests include caravan holidays, meditation and the study of sacred geometry and conciousness.

  • Dr Rebecca Theel

    BMBS FRACGP

    Dr Rebecca Theel joined Kingston Family Clinic at the start of 2010 after working as a General Practioner in Glenelg for 12 years. Dr Theel qualified with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Flinders University of South Australia in 1994 and gained her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practice in 2003. Dr Theel spent 3 years gaining extra experience at Flinders Medical Centre before embarking upon her General Practice career in Glenelg. Her interests lie in child and women's health but her patient base is wide and varied. Dr Theel is married and has 2 children. Her outside interests include family time, travel and outdoor activities.

  • Dr Richard Johns

    M.B.B.S. FRACGP

    Dr Richard Johns graduated from Adelaide University in 1980 and spent 3 years working at Royal Adelaide Hospital and Adelaide Childrens Hospital (Women's & Childrens). He started as a general practitioner in the Brighton area in 1983. Dr Johns is the Chair for Sturt Fleurieu General Practice Education and Training and for many years has been an advisor to General Practice Network South particularly in the area of Continuing Professional Development for GP's and is now a member of GPNS Clinical Leadership Group. He is an examiner for Royal College of General Practice and supervisor for GP registrar training of medical students. He is married with 4 adult children and twin grandchildren who occupy his leisure time to a large extent, otherwise he cycles, fishes or gardens.

  • Dr Sue Stark

    BMBS FRACGP

    Dr Sue Stark joined the team at Kingston Family Clinic in 2001, she currently works 3 days a week. Dr Stark graduated from Flinders University and completed all her hospital and general practice training in South Australia. She has interests in womens health, family medicine, preventative health and is a pregnancy shared care provider. Dr Stark is married with 2 children and keeps herself busy with family life, enjoys going to the movies, supporting the Crows, playing tennis and travelling.

  • Dr Wendy Bird

    M.B.B.S. Dip RACOG FRACGP

    Dr Wendy Bird has worked at Kingston Family Clinic for 8 years. Dr Bird trained in medicine at Monarsh University and worked there in hospitals and then general practice for 10 years. Born and lived in Melbourne, where her family all live. Her husband is South Australian, which brought her to Adelaide. Dr Bird works Tuesday's and Wednesday's. The rest of her time is spent running her household, being a wife and mother, especially taking their son to and from sport and being involved in his schooling. In her rare moments of spare time she enjoys her garden, music and reading plus the occasional glass of red wine.
